Thank you to Bob Ribando, our club secretary, for donating a Kiwanis-branded recycling bin to The Center at Belvedere! The bin now sits in the upstairs classroom where our club meets on the first and third Mondays. It gives our members and everyone else who uses the room an easy way to recycle their bottles.

It’s a small gift, but it shows how our members look after the places that host us. We are grateful to The Center at Belvedere for giving us a home, and to Bob for helping us take care of it.

We are glad to welcome Pam Effinger as a new member of the Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville! Pam owns Title Time LLC, a title insurance company. She helps families and businesses close on homes and properties every day, and now she is putting that same care into serving kids in our community.

Welcome to Kiwanis, Pam. We are grateful you chose to serve with us. Together, we can impact even more children in our community.

Please join us in welcoming Candice Liptak to the Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville! Candice is the owner of Buy and Sell Cville Team Realtors. She has joined us to help serve the children of our community.

Service runs in the family. Candice’s daughter just joined our club’s K Kids at Greer Elementary, one of the Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs. K Kids gives elementary students a chance to lead service projects in their school and community. Our immediate past president, Marieka Williams, serves as the club’s faculty advisor and our liaison at Greer. As students grow, they can continue in Builders Club in middle school, Key Club in high school and Circle K in college.

We love seeing a parent and child serving side by side. Welcome, Candice!

Interested in joining us? We meet the first and third Mondays at The Center at Belvedere. Send us a message to learn more or visit www.kiwaniscville.org
