Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville

WHO WE ARE: Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers, both men and women, dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.  Chartered on April 3rd, 1922, the Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville has approximately 62 members who come from many different backgrounds and are all dedicated to fulfilling our motto: ” Serving the Children of the World.” See the six permanent Objects of Kiwanis under the “About Us” tab and remember  #KidsNeedKiwanis

THINK GLOBALLY: Kiwanis International was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1915. There are over 350,000 Kiwanians and more than 600,000 K-Family members in 84 countries around the world.  KI’s current worldwide service project, in conjunction with UNICEF, aims to Eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) from the face of the earth.  This project follows KI’s previous successful project, also with UNICEF, of eliminating Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD), the leading preventable cause of intellectual disabilities,  worldwide.
