(Will be rescheduled) Erin Chandler, Associate Director of Development at UVA Children’s Hospital. “For 5 years running, we’ve been named Virginia’s #1 Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report. That’s why when Virginia’s families need the best medical care for their children, they turn to UVA Health Children’s.” Every year the Kiwanis Capital District Foundation makes grants to support those who care for the most traumatic injuries children in the Capital District suffer. Presently the foundation supports 11 pediatric trauma hospitals, including UVA Children’s. Since 1987 the foundation has donated more than $100,000 to UVA Children’s.

We believe that positive, lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. That’s why we focus our work in three areas:Youth Development; Healthy Living; and Social Responsibility.”

Our preschool program is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education and led by an qualified, loving, teaching team. The program is held at Adventure Central, in spacious, well-lit classrooms. Children enjoy time outside in the large outdoor playground and turf field. On cold and rainy days, they can still run and play in the indoor arena and Big Room. May through August, swimming in the outdoor Waterpark is part of the preschool week.” MEETING ON ZOOM DUE TO WEATHER

Passport Event” event and her efforts building community in Crozet. “The Crozet Small Business Collaborative is a networking and support group for small businesses located in Crozet, Virginia.We meet monthly to share community and business news, challenges, and resources. Meetings generally take place the second Monday of the month from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Old Trail Golf Club.”
